Shop For An Inexpensive Car
Cars are a symbol of power. We’ve all seen the stories about moguls with multi-story garages and huge luxury car collections. An inexpensive car is the way to go for some folks. Cheap in price doesn’t have to mean cheap in quality. Fun can be had with a less expensive car.
One of the ways to obtain a quality car on the cheap is to purchase a used car. Second hand luxury models are cheaper than new. A new term has emerged over the last decade, pre-owned – to denote used cars that are of high quality. Pre-owned cars have pulled some new car lovers into the used car world. Think about luxury vehicles. Even after 10 years a well built Lexus can look and drive like new. In fact, many people have generations of car buyers in their family who always purchase higher end models that are used. This was immortalized in Driving Miss Daisy when the driver bought Miss Daisy’s old cars.
Some cheap new cars are quite nice, too. The Hyundai Elantra is a quality car under $12,000. Then there’s the Civic, from Honda, weighing in at about $15,000. That’s a good car that gets great mileage and lasts forever. Cheaper cars are also generally less costly to maintain, and they don’t require premium gasoline.
Try the cheaper, not really cheap, luxury cars. The Audi brand is generally at the bottom portion of the price spectrum in the luxury class. Audi boasts the top engineered cars in the world, bar none. A less expensive luxury sports car is the Audi TT.
Some people aren’t happy unless they scrape the bottom of the barrel cheap. They turn to the clunker, the hooptie, the ancient model car that was probably old when their parents first bought a car. Teens often buy this style of car. As long as it’s safe to drive, it gets them from A to B. But watch out, the age old adage “You get what you pay for” applies to cheap cars too. When the car overheats, you won’t be happy.
